FictionCom privacy notice

Updated October 7, 2026.

What we collect and who can see it

We store your account email, first and last name, profile, posts and uploads, follows, comments, likes, story views, saved items, private messages and requests, support requests, feedback, and membership status. Supabase handles authentication and password security. FictionCom is currently free and does not require payment details. Stripe retains records of any previous payments under its own policies.

Your account first and last name are not included in your public profile unless you choose to use them as your display name. Members can see public content. Private content follows accepted-follow and profile settings. Chat messages are visible to their participants. Story owners can see their viewer list and likes. Support and feedback are visible to you and the moderator. Moderators can inspect reported/private uploads to enforce community rules. People who see your content may keep their own copies.

Services, emails and device storage

Cloudflare hosts FictionCom and counts page views with cookieless Web Analytics; Supabase stores accounts and content; Brevo sends authentication emails and operator alerts; Stripe handles records relating to previous payments. Kitsu provides anime/manga search. External GIFs and the browser client library are loaded from their respective hosts. These services receive the information needed to provide their features.

The operator receives alerts for registrations, support and feedback. Alerts include event time and relevant identifiers; support message content stays in the moderator inbox. Delivered alert records are removed after 30 days.

Login sessions and story history are stored on your device. Unpublished drafts and their selected files remain in browser storage until posted or discarded. Keep shared devices secure.

Stories, deletion and recovery backups

Stories stop appearing after 24 hours. Hourly cleanup removes expired stories and their uploaded files when the scheduled job runs.

You can edit/delete posts and stories, block users and delete your account from settings. Account deletion cancels any remaining previous billing arrangement and removes uploaded files, the account and associated community data. If deletion is interrupted, some files may already be removed; retry or contact Support.

Encrypted recovery backups can contain account and content data, including private chats. Recovery keys are kept separately. Deleted information may remain in an older recovery backup until that backup expires, and Stripe or other providers can retain records under their own policies. Copies saved by other users are outside FictionCom's control. A recovery process must preserve account-deletion requests rather than treating restored data as permission to republish deleted content.

Beta availability and help

FictionCom is a beta. Features and availability can change. Keep your own copies of important content and avoid storing sensitive or essential information in the app.

For questions, privacy requests, billing help or appeals, use Support or email doudousygueye1997@gmail.com. You can email even if you cannot sign in. Users under 14 should not register or post.
